Throwback post as we get ready for a lil reunion in our new space @firecreekmountain @burnsvilletreehouse in July! ❤️ #Repost @solveig_leithaug with @get_repost
It's a remarkable thing to be served dinner at a long farm table an autumn evening in Tennessee by Chef Paulette and team @nashvilletreehouse. The attention to detail is astonishing, and with each bite and added flavor shoulders lower, the laughter and conversations grows louder, and the world with all its complexities seems to take the weekend off too. Ladies, you amaze me! #hospitality #splendidtable #franklintn #womenentrepreneur

Celebrating our fav songwriter and great friend @stephonysmith today! We are so grateful for the years she helped us when we started our retreats in 2013. ❤️🎂❤️ Bryan Kennedy & @relias45 pictured here at our original location.
We posted a beautiful tribute our friend Sue Buchanan wrote about her Mother today in honor of Mother’s Day. We know it doesn’t represent every mother and many of us have a mixed bag of emotions on days like today for a myriad of reasons. We love this post and wanted to share it too. ❤️💔❤️
Your mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick … the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow. She is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you, not time, not space, not even death. Written by our “Treehouse Treasure” the amazing “Mother of all Mothers” Sue Buchanan ❤️🌹❤️
Like so many we are still grieving the loss of @rachelheldevans 💔 a true woman of courage who was a light for many of us stuck in the dark with hard questions about our Christian faith. If you’re the praying kind, please keep her friends & husband Dan & two babies in your prayers. ( 📷 2014 when we met RHE in Nashville w @melissagreene ) “If you are looking for verses with which to support slavery, you will find them. If you are looking for verses with which to abolish slavery, you will find them. If you are looking for verses with which to oppress women, you will find them. If you are looking for for verses with which to liberate or honor women, you will find them. If you are looking for reasons to wage war, you will find them. If you are looking for reasons to promote peace, you will find them. If you are looking for an out-dated, irrelevant ancient text, you will find it. If you are looking for truth, believe me, you will find it. This is why there are times when the most instructive question to bring to the text is not "what does it say?", but "what am I looking for?" I suspect Jesus knew this when he said, "ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened." If you want to do violence in this world, you will always find the weapons. If you want to heal, you will always find the balm.”
