We are a community of women supporting women in our endeavors to take bold steps to create a better world for us all.
All Are Welcome
In 2013, we started The Nashville Treehouse to host intentionally small events for women, each with a specific focus: BoyMama, Grown-Up Girls Getaway, Creative Weekends, Songwriting Workshops, and more. While we continue to host these events, our extensive music career experience led to our natural expansion into Artist Development for young female artists and musicians. In 2015, we also launched Water the Tree, a nonprofit that empowers aspiring female artists who may not have the resources to take the next step in pursuit of their dreams.
“My face hurts from smiling after our events. Truly one of my favorite things I've ever done in life.”
— KIM HILL, CO-FOUNDER
Kim Hill spearheads our events and works directly with all our artists and their parents (for those under 18). Mississippi-born and Memphis-raised, Kim is an almost-30 year veteran of the CCM music world. She’s a Grammy-nominated, multiple Dove award-winning artist with 17 CDs to her credit. She’s always been a pioneer — she was the first CCM artist to have two debut singles go #1, to garner a pop hit in Sweden, to play on the main stage at Nashville’s City Lights festival, and to have a #1 video on CMT. In the late 90s, she was America’s premier female worship leader for over 250,000 women in arena conferences and the first single mother to appear on the cover of Today's Christian Woman magazine. While she’s a speaker, author, and food/wine/tea lover, Kim’s favorite role has been “BoyMama” to her now 24- and 20-year-old amazing men, Graham and Benji.
Our motto, since we began, has been: All are welcome. Those three simple words capture the essence of all that we hope to communicate and extend to women who may not feel truly safe in their corner of the world.
Paulette Wooten, our personal chef and chief creative consultant, found her creative roots in the deep south among the Georgia pines. Master of all things creative, she considers herself first a musician and songwriter, but her creativity flows into all areas of the arts including photography, graphic design, video, and illustration. Over the past 20 years, she’s been a touring musician, electronic artist, hit songwriter, an international worship leader, producer, illustrator for two children books, and an award-winning film score composer. Paulette has been the creative producer and director for many touring artists, as well as a principal of numerous worship schools and training courses in the arts. Her heart is to empower female artists to use their creative abilities, talents, and passions to impact the world around them. She has a unique patience, grace, and ability to help others find their gold and turn it into platinum.
